What we collect and why
| Quote request form | Part number, quantity, condition, required-by date, country, company, name, email, phone and notes. We use it to reply to your request and to quote. Legal basis: steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business. |
|---|---|
| Request context | The page you submitted from, your referrer, and campaign parameters (such as UTM tags and the Google click ID). We store these with your request so we can see which pages and adverts produce enquiries. These parameters are held in your browser's session storage during your visit. |
| Spam protection | Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a submission is from a person. It may process technical data such as your IP address. |
| Analytics (with consent) | Google Analytics measures page views and enquiries, using cookies or similar identifiers. |
| Ad conversion tracking (with consent) | Google Ads records that an enquiry followed an ad click, so we can measure advertising. Legal basis: your consent. |
| Essential storage | We store your consent choice in your browser (local storage). No consent is needed for this. |
Consent
Analytics and advertising storage are off until you accept. You can change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer. The quote form works whatever you choose.
Who we share data with
We use service providers to run the site and send email: Cloudflare (hosting, form processing and database), Resend (sending email), Google (analytics and advertising, with consent). When we source a part, we share only what's needed with suppliers, such as the part number and delivery country.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that don't lead to an order are kept for up to 24 months. Orders and invoices are kept as long as tax law requires. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics retention settings.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, or withdraw consent. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission; in the UK, the ICO).
