What it is and where it's used

The 1746-OW16 is an Allen-Bradley i/o module from the SLC 500 range. Typical applications: Switching contactors and small loads. The manufacturer no longer sells this part new (discontinued 2022), which is why it is sourced from surplus stock elsewhere in Europe.

What to check before ordering

• Processor series and OS series (for example SLC 5/04 OS402), because they affect programming software support
• Chassis slot count and power supply rating against the loaded modules
• Whether the module is fitted with a battery or memory module and what is stored on it
• Series letter of I/O modules, since some are not interchangeable across series
