The 1746-IA16 is an Allen-Bradley i/o module from the SLC 500 range. Typical applications: Sensing switches and contacts in 120 V AC panels. The manufacturer no longer sells this part new (discontinued 2022), which is why it is sourced from surplus stock elsewhere in Europe.

What to check before ordering

• Confirm the voltage is 120 V AC (IM16 is 240 V AC)
• Processor series and OS series (for example SLC 5/04 OS402), because they affect programming software support
• Chassis slot count and power supply rating against the loaded modules
• Whether the module is fitted with a battery or memory module and what is stored on it
